Inhalt

In light of global challenges such as the climate crisis and current migration and refugee movements, Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and education in migration societies are becoming increasingly important. In this context, teachers play a central role as ‚change agents‘. However, although Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4.7 suggests a stronger integration of these themes, these two areas of education have not yet been sufficiently incorporated into university programs or systematically linked with one another. Against this backdrop, this article explores (1) how student teachers at RPTU view sustainability and migration-related issues, (2) how they perceive the discussion of ESD and education in a migration society, and (3) how they view the integration of ESD with migration-related perspectives in their studies.
