Infragestellungen der gelegentlichen Körpervergessenheit (auch) der Pädagogik und Aufforderungen zur stärkeren empirischen Berücksichtigung materieller Aspekte des Sozialen lassen eine Suche nach Anknüpfungspunkten zwischen dem New Materialism und der Situationsanalyse attraktiv erscheinen, um neue methodologische Perspektiven für die erziehungswissenschaftliche Körperforschung zu entfalten. Adele Clarkes Werkzeug des Mappings, das bereits analytisch auf materielle Aspekte des Sozialen verweist, kann, so eine These im Beitrag, mit Karen Barads Ansatz des Agentiellen Realismus ergänzt werden, der materielle Aspekte in Form eines relationalen Materialismus thematisiert. Im Artikel wird diskutiert, wie sich Situationsanalyse und Agentieller Realismus zusammendenken lassen, um Körperlichkeit im erziehungswissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisinteresse empirisch zugänglich zu machen, ohne dabei Körper in ssentialisierender Weise zu objektivieren.

Questioning the occasional forgetfulness of the body (also) in pedagogy and calls for greater empirical consideration of material aspects of the social make a search for points of contact between New Materialism and situation analysis appear attractive in order to develop new methodological perspectives for educational body research. Adele Clarke’s tool of mapping, which already refers analytically to material aspects of the social, can, according to one thesis in the article, be supplemented with Karen Barad’s approach of Agential Realism, which thematizes material aspects in the form of relational materialism. The article discusses how situational analysis and agency realism can be combined in order to make corporeality empirically accessible in the interest of educational science without objectifying bodies in an essentializing way.
