Foreign Language Vocabulary Learning

This paper seeks to demonstrate that foreign language vocabulary learning can be a stimulating and rewarding activity whenever effective methods are employed. The first part of the article deals with the problems connected with specific categories of lexical items and syntagmata; in the second part the fo-cus of attention is on the difficulties associated with language registers; and the third part provides a broad survey of activities which can facilitate vocabulary learning.
